03 notorious persons involved in vaiours criminal activities like drug peddling, bovine smuggling & Hawala money trading detained under Public Safety Act (PSA) in Kishtwar District of Jammu & Kashmir.
Police said that i) Khurshid Ahmed S/O Ghulam Mohd. Lone R/O village Kuchhan, Tehsil Mugalmaidan, Chatroo & District Kishtwar, a surrendered militant/OGW of (HUJI) outfit and was repeatedly involved in multiple cases of bovine smuggling in the District, ii) Farooq Ahmed S/O Abdul Khaliq R/O Nai Basti Watnar, Tehsil Kokernag & District Anantnag A/P Lanyal Kishtwar who was notorious drug peddler and was involved in series of drug peddling cases and iii) Tanveer Ahmed S/O Ghulam Qadir Ginoo R/O Tunder Dachhan Tehsil Dachhan & District Kishtwar involved in Hawala money trading and active OGW of HM outfit have been detained under Public Safety Act (PSA).
Dossiers were prepared by District Police and the same were forwarded by Senior Superintendent of Police, District Kishtwar Shakti K. Pathak to the District Magistrate Kishtwar who formally issued the dention orders under PSA.
A police spokesman said that a Police team headed by Inspector Bashir Ahmed executed the detention order and all the accused have been lodged in District Jail Kathua. The spokes person said that detentioin of these accused unde the Public Safety Act (PSA) were need of the hour as they were becoming a threat to peaceful atmosphere in the District and also said that such drive shall continue in future.
